About Us

Valley Bowmen Archery Club is a volunteer-based club supporting the promotion of Field/3D Archery in County Waterford. We support social inclusion, equality and opportunity. We believe archery should be open to everyone. Whether you want to become a competitive archer or want to do archery as a fun hobby, we can facilitate you.

We have a beautiful wood near Kilmeaden, County Waterford, where we facilitate 3D archery.

We run several beginners training courses throughout the year, along with hosting national competitions for the Irish Field Archery Federation (IFAF) and club internal fun and leisure shoots.

The club was formed in 2013 by three very experienced and accredited archers.

The club has organically advanced over the years with the introduction of new members and fresh ideas. We have several IFAA & IFAF accredited instructors who present our beginners courses and provide additional training when required, to progress an archer’s ability to competition level.

We have a portacabin which is The Hub of the club where courses are held, and members gather for the social aspect of the club.

Along with having the 28-target course we have a dedicated training area along with a dedicated practice range. We have several workdays throughout the year where members give their time to improve and maintain the club grounds and course.

In our club all members have a voice in the running of it and bring new ideas to help improve on what we have. We believe you get as much back from the club as you put into it.

Our club motto is For the joy of the sport and we try to uphold this for all
